A creation of Cesar Manrique and part of one of the longest Volcanic Tubes in the world.
The Crustacean you see in the first picture, Munidopsis Polymorpha, and further down the page, normally only lives at great depth, but comes up into the pool in Jameos del Agua, in northern Lanzarote. The exhibit encompasses a crater restaurant, subterranean pool, a garden pool, which, allegedly, only the King of Sain may swim in, a concert auditorium (seating 600, complete with Reginald Perrin cushions!), and dynamic exhibits of vulcanology.
